Four days in the capital of Polish wine: little bronze Bacchus figures, the Wine Museum, a vineyard and UNESCO-listed Muskau Park.
Few travellers know it: Poland has its own wine town, Zielona Góra, surrounded by hillsides planted with vines since the Middle Ages. In the streets of the centre, your group goes looking for the little bronze statues of Bacchus, then discovers the Wine Museum and the palm house perched on Wine Hill. A visit to a wine estate with tasting lets you sample the region’s wines, now enjoying a real revival. The third day is devoted to Muskau Park, straddling the German-Polish border: a vast 19th-century landscape garden listed by UNESCO, with flat, easy paths. Two drivers handle the journey and the hotel stays the same for all three nights.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Zielona Góra
- Morning departure from the place of your choice, with two drivers on board.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Drive through Germany via Hanover and Berlin, arriving in Zielona Góra at the end of the day and checking in at the hotel for 3 nights.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: The wine town
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the centre in search of the little bronze Bacchus figures (on request).
- Visit to the Wine Museum, housed in the Lubusz Land Museum.
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Coach ride up to Wine Hill and visit to the palm house.
- Visit to a local wine estate with tasting (on request).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Muskau Park
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Łęknica and Bad Muskau (about 1 hour 30 minutes), on the German-Polish border.
- Guided tour of Prince Pückler’s landscape park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (on request).
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Free time near the New Castle of Bad Muskau, then return to Zielona Góra in the late afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Early-morning departure with two drivers on board.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know
- A valid identity card and a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant.
- Departure and return times adapted to your group’s pick-up point; currency: Polish złoty (PLN), cards widely accepted.
- Walking level: easy, with a short climb towards the palm house (done by coach); the wine harvest festival (Winobranie) takes place in September, dates to be checked each year.
