Five days in Lower Silesia: Jelenia Góra, Karpacz and its Norwegian church, a crystal works and the valley’s palaces.
At the foot of the Giant Mountains, on the Czech border, the Jelenia Góra area is one of Poland’s most beautiful regions and one of the easiest to reach from Belgium. The town has kept a charming arcaded Market Square, and its spa district of Cieplice invites you to stroll in a large park. In Karpacz, your group discovers the Wang Church, a 12th-century wooden stave church brought from Norway and rebuilt here in the 19th century. The neighbouring valley holds dozens of palaces and manor houses, several of them restored to their former splendour. With two drivers for the journey, a single half-board hotel and short visits by coach, the pace stays relaxed from start to finish.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Jelenia Góra
- Morning departure from the place of your choice, with two drivers on board.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Drive through Germany via Dresden and Görlitz, arrival in Jelenia Góra in the evening and check-in at the hotel for 4 nights.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Jelenia Góra and Cieplice
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Jelenia Góra’s Old Town: arcaded Market Square and the Church of Grace (on request).
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Relaxing afternoon in the spa district of Cieplice, with a stroll in the spa park.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Karpacz and the Wang Church
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Karpacz (about 30 minutes) and visit to the wooden Wang Church.
- Chairlift ride up Mount Kopa, with a view of Śnieżka (on request).
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Free time in the resort of Karpacz, then back to the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Valley of Palaces and crystal glass
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Coach tour of the Valley of Palaces and Gardens, stopping at Łomnica Palace for a stroll in its park.
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Guided tour of the Julia crystal works in Piechowice, with a glass-cutting demonstration (on request).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Early-morning departure with two drivers on board.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.
