Six days in Zandvoort: seaside promenade, Haarlem, the canals of Amsterdam, the windmills of Zaanse Schans and a day of rest.
Zandvoort is Amsterdam’s beach: a long seaside promenade, protected dunes and beach pavilions where you can enjoy a coffee facing the waves. Your group stays five nights in a hotel near the sea, on half board, so there is no need to repack. Excursions are short: Haarlem and its Grote Markt twenty minutes away, Amsterdam and its canals discovered seated on a boat, then the windmills of Zaanse Schans and the harbour of Volendam. In the middle of the stay, an entirely free day offers time to rest, while the driver also takes his day off. Walks are flat and everyone chooses their own pace.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Zandvoort
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Group lunch on the way (on request).
- Arrival in Zandvoort in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel near the sea for 5 nights.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Haarlem
- Breakfast at the hotel, then a short drive to Haarlem.
- Guided walk through the centre of Haarlem: Grote Markt, Grote Kerk and hofjes (on request).
- Group lunch in Haarlem (on request).
- Back to Zandvoort and a free afternoon on the promenade.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Amsterdam by the water
- Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Amsterdam (about 45 minutes).
- Guided cruise on the canals of Amsterdam (on request).
- Group lunch in Amsterdam (on request).
- Guided tour of the Rijksmuseum (on request).
- Back to Zandvoort in the late afternoon, dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Free day in Zandvoort
- Free day on the beach, in the dunes or in the centre of Zandvoort (driver’s rest day).
- Free lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Zaanse Schans and Volendam
- Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Zaanse Schans.
- Easy walk among the windmills and wooden houses.
- Clog-making demonstration and cheese tasting (on request).
- Group lunch in Volendam (on request).
- Free time on the harbour dyke of Volendam.
- Back to Zandvoort, dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- In spring, stop at the Keukenhof flower park in Lisse (on request).
- Return journey, with regular breaks.
- Return to your region in the evening.

Good to know
- Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant; bring your usual medication.
- Times adapted to your group's pick-up point; groups from 20 participants, on the date of your choice, price on quotation. Walking level: easy, flat walks; a little more walking in Amsterdam and at the Keukenhof; wheelchair users: please tell us when booking.
- Pleasant stay from April to October; the Keukenhof only opens in spring (from about mid-March to mid-May, to be checked each year); in Amsterdam, the coach drops the group at authorised stops.
