Three days by the sea close to Belgium: the beach of Cadzand-Bad, the small fortified town of Sluis and the birds of the Zwin.
Just across the border, Cadzand-Bad offers a wide sandy beach lined with dunes, less than three hours from most Belgian regions. Your group stays two nights in a hotel near the sea, on half board, and enjoys flat walks along the promenade and the water’s edge. A few minutes away, Sluis charms with its ramparts, its De Brak windmill and the only medieval belfry in the Netherlands. On the last day, the Zwin, a nature reserve straddling the border, reveals its storks and migratory birds. A short, relaxing stay without long journeys, ideal for a first group trip.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Cadzand-Bad
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Cadzand-Bad around midday.
- Group lunch in a restaurant in the resort (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel near the sea for 2 nights.
- Free walk on the beach and in the dunes.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Sluis and the beach
- Breakfast at the hotel, then a short drive to Sluis.
- Guided walk in Sluis: ramparts, belfry and De Brak windmill (on request).
- Free time on the market square and in the shops.
- Group lunch in Sluis (on request).
- Back to Cadzand-Bad and a free afternoon on the beach, where fossil shark teeth are sometimes found.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: The Zwin and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit of the Zwin Nature Park in Knokke-Heist (on request).
- Group lunch before departure (on request).
- Return journey in the early afternoon.
- Return to your region in the evening.

- Pleasant stay from April to October; bring a windproof jacket, comfortable shoes and binoculars for birdwatching.
