Five days in Noordwijk, a North Sea resort: promenade, dunes, Leiden’s canals, The Hague and Keukenhof in spring.
Noordwijk is a peaceful seaside resort on the Dutch coast, with its wide sandy beach, promenade and dunes, about three hours’ drive from Belgium. Your group settles in for four nights in the same hotel, with no change of room. The excursions stay short: the university town of Leiden and its canals, The Hague and the Scheveningen promenade, and in spring the nearby Keukenhof gardens. A whole day is left free to enjoy the sea, a coffee on the promenade or a nap. The pace is gentle and each coach transfer on site takes less than an hour.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Noordwijk
- Departure in the morning from the place of your choice.
- Safety: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Drive to the Dutch coast, with regular breaks.
- Arrival in Noordwijk in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel for 4 nights.
- First walk along the promenade, facing the North Sea.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Leiden, city of canals
- Breakfast, then a short drive to Leiden.
- Guided walk through the historic centre: canals, bridges and almshouses (on request).
- Guided cruise on the canals of Leiden (on request).
- Lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
- Back in Noordwijk by mid-afternoon and free time on the beach.
Day 3: Free day in Noordwijk
- Free day to enjoy the beach, the promenade and the dunes.
- Walk in the old village of Noordwijk-Binnen.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: The Hague and Scheveningen
- Panoramic coach tour of The Hague: Peace Palace and the Binnenhof seen from the Hofvijver.
- Visit to the Mauritshuis (on request).
- Visit to the Keukenhof gardens in spring, instead of The Hague (on request).
- Free time on the Scheveningen promenade, then back to the hotel.
Day 5: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast and a last stroll along the promenade.
- Return journey in the late morning, with regular breaks.
- Return in the late afternoon or early evening to your region.

Good to know
- A valid identity card is required and a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is recommended.
- Departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point; price on quotation, from 20 participants.
- Walking level: easy (short walks on flat ground, frequent breaks).
- Stay possible from April to October; Keukenhof only opens from about late March to mid-May, dates to be checked each year.
