A 6-day tour of Croatia: Zagreb and its Upper Town, then the lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice, with 3 nights in the same hotel.
A lively yet human-sized capital, Zagreb charms with its colourful roofs, markets and café terraces. Your group spends 3 nights there in the same hotel, with a day of discovery on foot: the funicular, one of the shortest in the world, saves the climb to the Upper Town. The next day is devoted to the Plitvice Lakes, a UNESCO site where sixteen turquoise lakes spill into one another in waterfalls. An electric boat and a little panoramic train shorten the walk through the park. An overnight stop in Bavaria on the way out and back makes the journey more comfortable.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Bavaria
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Late-afternoon arrival in the Munich area and check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Arrival in Zagreb
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Croatia through Austria and Slovenia.
- Late-afternoon arrival in Zagreb and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Zagreb on foot
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Funicular ride up to the Upper Town.
- Guided tour of the Upper Town: cathedral, Stone Gate and St Mark’s Church (on request).
- Free time at Dolac market and on Tkalčićeva street (driver’s rest day).
- Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Plitvice Lakes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park (about 2 hours).
- Guided tour of the park with a crossing of Lake Kozjak by electric boat and the panoramic train (on request).
- Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
- Return to Zagreb in the late afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Journey to Bavaria
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure through Slovenia and Austria.
- Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Overnight stop in the Munich area.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Return journey to Belgium.
