Five days to discover Warsaw, its Old Town reborn from the ashes, the Royal Castle and Chopin’s Łazienki Park.
Over 80 % destroyed in 1944, Warsaw’s Old Town was rebuilt stone by stone and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your group strolls around the Market Square with its painted façades, visits the Royal Castle and follows the Royal Route to Łazienki Park, where the Chopin Monument hosts open-air piano concerts on summer Sundays. Wilanów Palace, often called the Polish Versailles, completes the portrait of a proud and lively capital. For a restful trip, the journey is broken by an overnight stop in Germany both ways. Visits are made by coach or on foot over short distances, with coffee breaks and free time.
Programme
Day 1: Journey into Germany
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Drive to eastern Germany via Hanover, arriving in the Berlin area in the late afternoon.
- Overnight stop along the way, with dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Arrival in Warsaw
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Warsaw via Poznań, with a lunch break on the way.
- Arrival in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel for 2 nights.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Old Town and Royal Castle
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the Old Town: Market Square, ramparts and Barbican (on request).
- Visit to the Royal Castle and its restored state rooms.
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Chopin piano recital in a salon in the Old Town (on request).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Łazienki, Wilanów and drive west
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Coach tour along the Royal Route, then a stroll in Łazienki Park to the Palace on the Isle and the Chopin Monument.
- Guided tour of Wilanów Palace (on request).
- Lunch booked at a restaurant (on request).
- Departure westwards in the early afternoon and overnight stop in the Berlin area, with dinner at the hotel.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
Day 5: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast, then the last leg of the journey to Belgium.
- Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.
