Slovenia: Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Postojna Cave and Piran (8 days)

Day 1: Drive to southern Germany

• Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
• Drive into Germany, lunch at leisure on the way.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Through Austria to Ljubljana

• Breakfast, then drive through Austria and the Karawanks Tunnel.
• Late-afternoon arrival in the Ljubljana area and check-in for 5 nights.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Ljubljana, the green capital

• Guided tour of the old town: Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge and Plečnik’s central market (on request).
• Funicular ride up to Ljubljana Castle and its view over the city (on request).
• Lunch in an old-town restaurant (on request).
• Boat trip on the Ljubljanica (on request).
• Free time on the riverside terraces, back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4: Lakes Bled and Bohinj

• Drive to Bled, at the foot of the Julian Alps.
• Crossing by pletna, the traditional boat, to Bled Island and its church (on request).
• Tasting of kremšnita, Bled’s famous cream cake (on request).
• In the afternoon, Lake Bohinj and the Church of St John the Baptist by the water.
• Back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 5: Free day in Ljubljana

• Free day, the driver’s rest day.
• Time to stroll in Tivoli Park, the market or the old-town cafés, within walking distance or by public transport.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Postojna, Predjama and Piran

• Visit of Postojna Cave, largely by little electric train (on request).
• Visit of Predjama Castle, built into a cliff (on request).
• Group lunch in the area (on request).
• Late afternoon in Piran: Tartini Square, Venetian lanes and the seafront.
• Back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7: Return drive to Germany

• Breakfast, then return drive through Austria.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then the last leg to Belgium.
• Return to your area in the late afternoon or early evening.
