Seven days where three borders meet: Kranjska Gora, Zelenci reserve, Planica valley, the Fusine Lakes and Monte Lussari.
At the foot of the Julian Alps, Kranjska Gora is a peaceful mountain village a few kilometres from Italy and Austria. Your group stays four nights in the same hotel to explore without fatigue: the Zelenci nature reserve and its emerald waters, the Planica valley and its famous ski-jumping hills, Lake Jasna. A day in Italy leads to the two Fusine Lakes and then by gondola to the Monte Lussari sanctuary, with an outstanding panorama on clear days. The journey is broken by an overnight stop in southern Germany both ways, and a free day in the middle of the stay lets everyone relax. Walks are short and easy, on flat paths or wooden boardwalks.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to southern Germany
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Journey with a coffee break and a lunch stop: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Via the Tauern to Kranjska Gora
- Breakfast, then journey via Salzburg and the Tauern tunnel to Carinthia, with regular breaks.
- Stop in Villach on the river Drava for a short walk in the old town and free lunch.
- Late-afternoon arrival in Kranjska Gora, check-in at the hotel for 4 nights, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Zelenci, Planica and Lake Jasna
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Walk on the boardwalks of the Zelenci nature reserve, the emerald-green source of the Sava.
- Discovery of the Planica valley and its great ski-flying hills.
- Lunch at a mountain inn (on request).
- Stop at Lake Jasna and the statue of the legendary chamois Zlatorog.
- Honey tasting at a beekeeper’s, a great Slovenian tradition (on request).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Free day in Kranjska Gora
- Free day on foot in Kranjska Gora (driver’s rest day): flat walk to Lake Jasna, village terraces and shops.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Fusine Lakes and Monte Lussari, in Italy
- Breakfast, then a short drive to Italy.
- Walk along the Fusine Lakes at the foot of Mount Mangart.
- Gondola ride up to the Monte Lussari sanctuary and panorama over the Julian Alps (on request).
- Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
- Free time in Tarvisio, then return to Kranjska Gora, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Journey back to southern Germany
- Breakfast, then return journey through Austria with regular breaks.
- Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast, then journey to Belgium with a coffee break and a lunch stop.
- Return in the evening to your region.

Good to know
- Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant; bring enough of any medication you take.
- Times adapted to your group’s pick-up point, from 20 participants, price on quotation; wheelchair users: please let us know when booking.
- Walking level: easy (boardwalks and flat paths; the village at the top of the Monte Lussari gondola is on a gentle slope).
- Best from June to September; the Monte Lussari gondola runs seasonally, to be checked each year.
