In the French Ardennes: Sedan castle, the Place Ducale in Charleville and the world of Rimbaud and puppetry.

Just across the border, the French Ardennes offer a varied day close to Belgium. Sedan castle, one of the largest fortified castles in Europe, helps pupils understand life in a fortress and how defences evolved from the Middle Ages to the early modern period. In Charleville-Mézières they discover the Place Ducale, built in the early 17th century, and the Arthur Rimbaud museum, devoted to the poet who was born in the town. The Great Puppeteer clock is a reminder that Charleville is the world capital of puppetry. An ideal trip for both primary and secondary pupils, in history, French and art.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
