Day 1: Journey to Thuringia

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Arrival in the late afternoon for an overnight stop in the Erfurt area.
• Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Arrival in Dresden

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Dresden (about 2 hours 30 minutes).
• Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• First walk on the Brühl Terrace, the “balcony of Europe”, above the Elbe.
• Check-in at the hotel in Dresden for five nights.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Dresden, Florence on the Elbe

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided tour of Dresden: Frauenkirche, Zwinger Palace, Semperoper and the Procession of Princes mural (on request).
• Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Visit to the Old Masters Picture Gallery in the Zwinger (on request).
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Saxon Switzerland and paddle steamer

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Saxon Switzerland and stop at the Bastei: short walk to the bridge and the viewpoints over the Elbe.
• Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Cruise on the Elbe aboard a historic paddle steamer (on request).
• Return to Dresden.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Free day in Dresden

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day to stroll at your own pace, without the coach (driver’s rest day).
• Ideas: the Green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe), the Neustadt quarter, a walk along the Elbe.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Meissen and Moritzburg

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Meissen (about 40 minutes).
• Visit to the Meissen porcelain manufactory and its demonstration workshops (on request).
• Walk up to the castle hill: cathedral and Albrechtsburg Castle.
• Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• In the afternoon, photo stop at Moritzburg hunting lodge, in the middle of its lake.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Leipzig, Bach’s city

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Leipzig (about 1 hour 30 minutes).
• Guided tour of Leipzig: old town hall, St Thomas Church where Bach was cantor, St Nicholas Church and Mädler Passage (on request).
• Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Free time in the city centre.
• Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning departure.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.

• Return journey with regular breaks, arriving in your region in the evening.
