Three days in Sint-Idesbald: the Paul Delvaux Museum, villas among the dunes, Dunkirk and the Malo-les-Bains promenade.
Sint-Idesbald, a seaside district of Koksijde nestled in the dunes, has attracted many artists, including the surrealist painter Paul Delvaux, who lived there for many years. Your group discovers the museum devoted to him, set in an enlarged fisherman’s house, with his famous railway stations, dreaming women and old trams. On the second day, a short drive leads to Dunkirk in France, where a museum retraces Operation Dynamo of 1940, before a stroll along the long promenade of Malo-les-Bains. The rest of the time is free to enjoy the beach and the calm of this small resort. Walks are on flat promenades, without difficulty.
Programme
Day 1: Arrival in Sint-Idesbald
- Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Sint-Idesbald in the late morning.
- Reserved lunch in Sint-Idesbald (on request).
- Visit of the Paul Delvaux Museum (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel near the sea, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Dunkirk and Malo-les-Bains
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Short coach ride to Dunkirk, in France.
- Visit of the Dunkirk 1940 – Operation Dynamo museum (on request).
- Reserved lunch in Dunkirk (on request).
- Stroll along the Malo-les-Bains promenade and return to Sint-Idesbald.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Return

- Return journey in the afternoon, arriving back in your area in the evening.
