An 8-day stay in Knokke-Heist: the Zwin nature park and its birds, Bruges, Ghent, Damme and Sluis in the Netherlands.
At the north-eastern end of the coast, Knokke-Heist combines elegant avenues and art galleries with the unspoilt nature of the Zwin, on the Dutch border. Your group stays seven nights in a 3-star hotel with lift, on half board, without changing hotels. Zwin Nature Park, with its storks and migratory birds, is explored along flat paths, and excursions lead to Bruges, Ghent, the village of Damme and the small Dutch town of Sluis. Two afternoons and a full free day leave time to enjoy the beach and the seafront. A balanced stay of discovery and rest, with short journeys.
Programme
Day 1: Drive to Knokke-Heist
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Drive to the coast (our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break).
- Check-in at the hotel for 7 nights and stroll on the seafront.
Day 2: The Zwin
- Visit of Zwin Nature Park, its storks and migratory birds, along flat paths.
- Walk with a nature guide (on request)
- Free afternoon on the beach.
Day 3: Bruges
- Coach excursion to Bruges.
- Canal boat trip (on request)
- Lunch booked in a restaurant in the centre (on request)
- Free time and return to the hotel.
Day 4: Free day
- Free day in Knokke-Heist (driver’s rest day).
- Coast Tram pass (on request)
Day 5: Damme and Sluis
- Morning in Damme, a canal-side village, with a stroll near its Gothic town hall.
- Lunch booked in Damme (on request)
- Afternoon in Sluis, in the Netherlands, a small shopping town with a belfry and a windmill.
Day 6: Ghent
- Coach excursion to Ghent.
- Guided tour of St Bavo’s Cathedral and the Mystic Lamb (on request)
- Free time on the Graslei quays, then return to the hotel.
Day 7: Knokke and Het Zoute
- Free morning, or a stroll through the shopping streets and art galleries of Het Zoute.
- Last free afternoon and dinner at the hotel.
Day 8: Return
- Breakfast, then departure in the late morning.
- Return journey (our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break).
- Arrival in your area in the late afternoon.

- A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
- Walking level: easy (short, flat walks with frequent breaks).
