A 9-day stay in Blankenberge: its Art Deco pier and long seafront, with Bruges, Ostend, Ypres and Damme to discover.
A lively family resort, Blankenberge has one of the longest seafront promenades on the Belgian coast and an Art Deco pier stretching out over the sea. Your group stays eight nights in a 3-star hotel with lift, on half board, with no change of hotel. The excursions, all less than an hour away, lead to Bruges, Ostend, Ypres and Damme, alternating with free days and afternoons. It is the ideal stay to enjoy the fresh air, walk a little each day by the water and rest. The Coast Tram, which stops in Blankenberge, also lets you reach other resorts at your own pace.
Programme
Day 1: Drive to Blankenberge
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Drive to the coast (our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break).
- Check-in at the hotel for 8 nights and first stroll on the seafront.
Day 2: Blankenberge
- Stroll along the seafront to the Pier, the Art Deco jetty stretching out over the sea.
- Visit of Sea Life Blankenberge (on request)
- Free afternoon.
Day 3: Bruges
- Coach excursion to Bruges.
- Canal boat trip (on request)
- Lunch booked in a restaurant in the centre (on request)
- Free time and return to the hotel.
Day 4: Ostend
- Excursion to Ostend: seafront, Royal Galleries and the Vistrap fish market.
- Fish lunch in a harbour restaurant (on request)
- Return to Blankenberge in mid-afternoon.
Day 5: Free day
- Free day in Blankenberge (driver’s rest day).
- Coast Tram pass (on request)
Day 6: Ypres
- Excursion to Ypres: Grote Markt, Cloth Hall and Menin Gate.
- Visit of the In Flanders Fields Museum (on request)
- Lunch booked in Ypres (on request)
Day 7: Damme and De Haan
- Morning in Damme, a canal-side village.
- Afternoon in De Haan, a resort of Belle Époque villas, returning along the coast road.
Day 8: Free time
- Free day to enjoy the beach, the café terraces and the seafront.
- Farewell dinner at the hotel.
Day 9: Return
- Breakfast, then departure in the late morning.
- Return journey (our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break).
- Arrival in your area in the late afternoon.
