From Mozart's city to the Habsburg palaces, via Melk Abbey and the Wachau vineyards: classic, imperial Austria in seven days.
This final-year trip crosses Austria from west to east. In Salzburg, pupils discover Mozart’s Baroque city, its fortress towering above the Salzach and the Mirabell Gardens. The road to Vienna runs past Melk Abbey and through the Danube valley in the Wachau. In the capital, they explore the Hofburg, the Ring and Schönbrunn Palace, and can admire Klimt’s “The Kiss” at the Belvedere. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Given the distance (about 1,150 km), two drivers take turns and an overnight stop is planned on the way out and on the way back: no night driving.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, appropriate dress in churches and at Melk Abbey).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to October (the Hellbrunn trick fountains operate from April to early November); in December, the Christmas markets of Salzburg and Vienna are a real bonus. Austria uses the euro and electrical sockets compatible with those in Belgium. Lunches are not included: allow around €12–15 per pupil per day; Vienna’s sausage stands (Würstelstand) remain cheap.
