Final-year school trip to Lloret de Mar and Barcelona: Gaudí, the Costa Brava and beaches (8 days)

Day 1 : Departure from your school

• Departure on Sunday afternoon or evening from your school.
• Overnight journey to Spain with two drivers taking turns on board (double crew).
• Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.

Day 2 : Arrival on the Costa Brava

• Arrival in Lloret de Mar on Monday morning, breakfast at your own expense along the way.
• Check-in at the hotel for five nights (subject to room availability).
• First discovery of Lloret on foot: the beach, the coastal path to the Castle of En Plaja and the statue of the Dona Marinera.
• Afternoon relaxing on the beach; a day without the coach so the drivers can rest.
• Dinner and first evening at the hotel.

Day 3 : Barcelona, Gaudí's city

• Drive to Barcelona (about 1 hr 15 min).
• Visit to the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's unfinished basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Visit to Park Güell and its terrace with colourful mosaics (on request).
• Walk along the Passeig de Gràcia, past Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera).
• Supervised free time, then return to Lloret for dinner.

Day 4 : Girona and Tossa de Mar

• Morning in Girona: the cathedral and its monumental staircase, the Call (the old Jewish quarter) and the colourful houses along the Onyar.
• In the afternoon, Tossa de Mar and its Vila Vella, the fortified old town overlooking the sea.
• Free time on the beach at Tossa.
• Return to Lloret, dinner and group evening at the hotel (quiz, karaoke or games, depending on what is available).

Day 5 : Barcelona, from La Rambla to Barceloneta

• Second day in Barcelona: La Rambla and the Boqueria market.
• Walking tour of the Gothic Quarter: the cathedral, Plaça de Sant Jaume and medieval streets.
• Visit to the FC Barcelona stadium and museum (on request).
• Late afternoon in Barceloneta and along the Port Olímpic seafront.
• Return to Lloret for dinner.

Day 6 : PortAventura or a Costa Brava day

• Day at the PortAventura Park theme park, near Salou (on request).
• Otherwise, a supervised free day in Lloret: beach, water sports or a boat trip along the coast.
• Dinner and last festive evening at the hotel.

Day 7 : Last day on the beach and departure

• Rooms vacated after breakfast, luggage loaded onto the coach.
• Last supervised free morning on the beach or for souvenir shopping.
• Lunch, then free time in Lloret.
• Departure in the late afternoon or evening, overnight journey with two drivers taking turns (double crew).

Day 8 : Return to school

• Drive back to Belgium, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving.
• Arrival at your school in the morning.
