Green Ljubljana, Lake Bled, the Postojna and Škocjan caves, the Vintgar gorge and Piran: Slovenia, a small country of big landscapes.
Slovenia brings together the Alps, the caves of the Karst and the sea in one small country. Staying five nights in Ljubljana, a lively capital on a human scale, pupils discover Lake Bled and its island, walk the boardwalks of the Vintgar Gorge and stroll along Lake Bohinj. They ride a little train into Postojna Cave, see Predjama Castle clinging to its cliff and the Škocjan Caves, then enjoy Piran, a pretty Venetian port on the Adriatic. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group.

- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Given the distance (about 1,200 km to Ljubljana), two drivers take turns and an overnight stop is planned on the way out and on the way back: no night driving.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, swimming only in permitted areas and with an accompanying adult present, respect for instructions in the caves, where photography is banned or restricted).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: May to late June and September; the Vintgar Gorge is only open from spring to autumn, and the caves stay at around 10 °C all year round: bring a jumper and good shoes. Slovenia uses the euro and the same sockets as Belgium. Lunches are not included: plan on about €10 to €15 per pupil per day.
