Florence and the Renaissance, from the Duomo to Michelangelo's David, then three days in Rome: the Colosseum, the Vatican and Trevi.
This trip takes pupils to the heart of Italy, in the footsteps of the Renaissance and ancient Rome. In Florence, they discover the Duomo and its dome, the Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and Michelangelo’s David. In Rome, they walk in the footsteps of the emperors at the Colosseum and the Forum, visit the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel and stroll from the Trevi Fountain to Trastevere. An overnight stop in Switzerland on the way out and in Ticino on the way back avoids any night driving. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. Travel is by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure; an identity card is enough to cross Switzerland, and a few Swiss francs may come in handy at the overnight stops.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. An overnight stop in Switzerland on the way out and in Ticino on the way back avoids any night driving, and two drivers take turns at the wheel.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, shoulders and knees covered to enter churches and the Vatican, watchfulness for pickpockets).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: March to May or September–October, before the great heat; the Uffizi, the Accademia, the Colosseum and the Vatican must be booked several months in advance. Italian state museums are free for under-18s, with a group booking. Italy uses the euro; lunches are not included: allow around €12–15 per pupil per day, with pizza al taglio remaining affordable.
