Kinderdijk's windmills, bold Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague and Amsterdam's canals: the best of the Netherlands in a single trip.

This final-year trip shows the Netherlands from every angle. Pupils see the 19 UNESCO-listed windmills of Kinderdijk, the bold architecture of Rotterdam, Europe's largest port, Vermeer's city of Delft, and The Hague, seat of government, with the beach at Scheveningen, before ending in Amsterdam with its canals, Anne Frank and the windmills of Zaanse Schans. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours on the road, and the coach stays with the group on site, from one city to the next.

  • Return to Rotterdam, dinner and supervised evening.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, coffee shops excluded from the programme and prohibited for under-18s, care around bikes and trams).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: April to October, when the Kinderdijk windmills and Zaanse Schans are at their liveliest; tickets for the Anne Frank House only go on sale a few weeks before the date and sell out very quickly, so they are booked as soon as sales open. The Netherlands uses the euro and the same electrical sockets as Belgium; bring a raincoat, as the wind blows hard on the dykes. Lunches are not included: allow around €10–15 per pupil per day.
