The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Montmartre, then Big Ben, the Tower of London and the British Museum: two great capitals in one trip.

This trip introduces pupils to two capitals that are worlds apart yet closely linked. In Paris, they see the reopened Notre-Dame, go up the Eiffel Tower, cruise on the Seine and stroll around Montmartre. After the Channel ferry crossing, they spend four days in London: Westminster and Buckingham, the Tower of London and the South Bank, the British Museum and Camden Market. An ideal trip for practising French and English on the spot. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • A valid passport is compulsory for every pupil and member of staff (an identity card is not enough to enter the United Kingdom), along with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) applied for online before departure; signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Pupils of other nationalities should check their own entry requirements.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. The Channel ferry crossing breaks up the journey between Paris and London and on the way back, and all journeys are made by day.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, vigilance against pickpockets on the metro and at tourist sites, care when crossing the road in London, as traffic drives on the left: look right first).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: October to June, booking 6 to 9 months in advance; apply for passports and ETAs at least two months before departure, and book Louvre and Eiffel Tower time slots and musical tickets early. France uses the euro and the UK the pound sterling (bank cards are accepted almost everywhere); in the UK, sockets are type G (adapter needed). Lunches are not included: allow a budget of about €10 to €15 (or £) per pupil per day, or hotel packed lunches on request.
