The Caen Memorial, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Bayeux and Mont-Saint-Michel: the whole of Normandy for an unforgettable final-year trip.
Normandy offers a final-year class a complete trip: understanding 6 June 1944 at the Caen Memorial and on the beaches, paying respects at the American Cemetery at Colleville, strolling through Bayeux, the first town liberated in mainland France, then discovering Mont-Saint-Michel, the ‘Wonder of the West’ rising from a bay with the strongest tides in continental Europe. The return journey passes through Rouen and its cathedral. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote; the journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group throughout the stay.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions, a respectful attitude in the war cemeteries; the bay is only crossed with an approved guide, never alone, because of the tides and quicksand).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to June and September–October; the bay is crossed barefoot (bring shorts and a towel), and the Bayeux Tapestry Museum is closed for works until its planned reopening at the end of 2027. France uses the euro and the same electrical sockets as Belgium; it is often windy on the coast, so bring a windproof jacket. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around €10–15 per pupil per day; on request, the hotel can provide packed lunches.
