The D-Day beaches, Mont-Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, then Chenonceau, the Clos Lucé and Chambord: three regions, a thousand years of history.

This trip crosses three regions and a thousand years of French history. In Normandy, pupils walk on Omaha Beach, discover the Pointe du Hoc and the American Cemetery at Colleville, and come to understand the D-Day landings of June 1944. They then climb Mont-Saint-Michel, walk round the ramparts of Saint-Malo and stroll through the medieval lanes of Dinan. The trip ends in the Loire Valley, with the Château de Chenonceau spanning the Cher, Leonardo da Vinci’s last home in Amboise and the vast Chambord. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. Travel is by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.
