London, the colleges of Cambridge, the walls of York, then Edinburgh, its castle and the Royal Mile: Britain from south to north.
This trip crosses Britain from south to north. After two days in London, from Westminster to the British Museum, pupils head north via the colleges of Cambridge, then discover York, its medieval walls, its Gothic Minster and the Shambles. They finally reach Edinburgh, capital of Scotland: the castle on its rock, the Royal Mile, the National Museum of Scotland and the climb up Arthur’s Seat. On the way back, a stop at Durham Cathedral and a night in Yorkshire keep the journey comfortable. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. Travel is by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- A valid passport is compulsory for every pupil and member of staff (an identity card is not enough to enter the United Kingdom), along with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) applied for online before departure; signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Pupils of other nationalities should check their own entry requirements.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. The journey to Scotland is split into daytime stages (London, York, Edinburgh), with an overnight stop in Yorkshire on the way back, and two drivers take turns at the wheel.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care when crossing the road, as traffic drives on the left in the UK: look right first).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to June or September, when the days are long; avoid August in Edinburgh, which is very busy during the festivals. Apply for passports and ETAs at least two months before departure. The United Kingdom uses the pound sterling (cards accepted almost everywhere), sockets are type G (adapter needed) and Scotland is cooler: bring a jumper and a raincoat. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around £10–15 per pupil per day.
