The Greenwich meridian, Westminster and a day in prestigious Cambridge: a final-year trip with an eye on the future.

This trip combines London, science and student life. Pupils start in Greenwich, with its park, the Royal Observatory and the prime meridian, explore the National Maritime Museum, discover Westminster and then spend a day in Cambridge, among centuries-old colleges, King's College Chapel and punts on the Cam: plenty to dream about for higher education. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made during the day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • A valid passport is compulsory for every pupil and member of staff (an identity card is not enough to enter the United Kingdom), along with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) applied for online before departure; signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Pupils of other nationalities should check their own entry requirements.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care when crossing the road, as traffic drives on the left in the UK: look right first).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: April to June or September–October, to enjoy the gardens and punting; some Cambridge colleges close to visitors during the exam period (May–June). Apply for passports and ETAs at least two months before departure. The United Kingdom uses the pound sterling (cards are accepted almost everywhere), sockets are type G (adapter needed) and the time is one hour behind Belgium; many major national museums are free. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around £10–15 per pupil per day; on request, the hotel can provide packed lunches.
