A day at Gardaland, the Arena and Juliet’s balcony in Verona, Sirmione by boat and Malcesine: sunshine on Italy’s largest lake.

This final-year trip settles the group for five nights on the shores of Lake Garda, between mountains and olive groves. Pupils spend a full day at Gardaland, Italy’s largest theme park, discover Verona, its Roman Arena and Juliet’s House, take the boat to Sirmione and, if they wish, ride up Monte Baldo from Malcesine. On the way back, a stop in Innsbruck, capital of the Tyrol, breaks up the journey. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Given the distance (about 1,000 km), two drivers take turns and an overnight stop is planned on the way out and on the way back: no night driving.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, swimming only in authorised places and under the teachers’ supervision).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: mid-April to June or September, when Gardaland is open every day and the lake boats run their full timetable (the park generally opens from April to early November, with fewer opening days at the start and end of the season). The Monte Baldo cable car and Gardaland are booked in advance at group rates. Italy uses the euro; lunches are not included: allow around €12–15 per pupil per day, a little more at the park.
