Hamburg’s harbour, Copenhagen’s canals, Sweden via the Øresund Bridge, then the Berlin of the Wall and the Reichstag: a grand tour of the North.
This round trip introduces pupils to three great port cities and capitals of the North. In Hamburg, they explore the harbour, the Speicherstadt and the Elbphilharmonie Plaza. After a ferry crossing on the Baltic, they discover Copenhagen on foot and by boat, then cross into Sweden over the Øresund Bridge for a day in Malmö. The return is via the Gedser–Rostock ferry and a two-night stay in Berlin, with the Reichstag, the Wall and the East Side Gallery. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. The ferries break up the journeys to Denmark and back, the Copenhagen–Berlin leg takes up day 6 and all driving is done by day: no night driving.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care around Copenhagen’s many bikes and on the harbour quays).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: May to September, when the days are long and the Tivoli Gardens are open; book the ferries and the Reichstag dome early. Denmark uses the Danish krone (DKK) and Sweden the Swedish krona (SEK), but bank cards are accepted everywhere; identity checks take place at the borders, so keep your identity card on you. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of about €10 to €15 per pupil per day (rather €15 or more in Copenhagen), or hotel packed lunches on request.
