The grand tour of France: Eiffel Tower and Louvre, Chambord and Chenonceau, the Dune of Pilat, Carcassonne, Avignon, the Pont du Gard and Lyon.
This trip shows pupils the full diversity of France in a ten-day loop. After Paris and its monuments, they discover Chambord and Chenonceau in the Loire Valley, then Bordeaux and the Dune du Pilat facing the ocean. The tour then crosses the south via the medieval walled city of Carcassonne to Provence: Avignon, the Pont du Gard and Arles. It ends in Lyon, between the traboules and Fourvière hill. Every night is spent in a town on the route, with no night driving at all. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Every night is spent in a town on the route: no extra overnight stop is needed, and the longest days (Bordeaux–Avignon and Lyon–Brussels) are driven entirely by day.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, watchfulness for pickpockets in Paris and at busy sites).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to June or September, when the weather is mild from the Loire Valley to Provence; book the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the châteaux early. Several national monuments (the Louvre, Chambord, the Château Comtal in Carcassonne) are free for under-18s, with a group booking. France uses the euro; bring a cap and sun cream for the south. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around €12–15 per pupil per day.
