Freiburg, the waterfalls and cuckoo clocks of the Black Forest, the Rhine Falls, then the flower island of Mainau on Lake Constance.
This final-year trip puts nature centre stage. In the Black Forest, pupils stroll through Freiburg im Breisgau and its little water channels, walk down the Triberg waterfalls and along Lake Titisee; they then cross into Switzerland to get close to the Rhine Falls, the most powerful in Europe, before reaching Lake Constance, Mainau Island and the village of Meersburg. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours on the road, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure. For Switzerland, an identity card is sufficient; the currency there is the Swiss franc (bank cards and often euros accepted).
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care on the waterfall paths and by the lake, walking shoes recommended).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: May to September, when Mainau is in bloom and the open-air sites are open (most from April to October). Germany uses the euro; bring a few Swiss francs or a bank card for the day at the Rhine Falls, and rain gear for the Black Forest. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around €10–15 per pupil per day.
