The turquoise waterfalls of Plitvice, Zadar’s Sea Organ, Diocletian’s Palace in Split and the walls of Dubrovnik: the best of Dalmatia.

This trip follows the Dalmatian coast, one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Pupils walk the boardwalks of the Plitvice Lakes, listen to Zadar’s Sea Organ at sunset, discover the waterfalls of Krka and soak up the life of the lanes inside Diocletian’s Palace in Split. The Pelješac Bridge then takes them to Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, and its city walls. Overnight stops in Bavaria and Zagreb avoid any night driving. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure; the route crosses Germany, Austria and Slovenia, and Croatia is part of the Schengen area: an identity card is enough.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. An overnight stop in Bavaria on the way out, then in Zagreb and Bavaria on the way back, avoids any night driving, and two drivers take turns at the wheel.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, swimming only in authorised areas and under the teachers’ supervision, no swimming at Plitvice or Krka, where everyone stays on the boardwalks).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: May to June or September, to avoid the summer heat and crowds in Dubrovnik; Plitvice tickets are booked online in advance with a time slot. Bring good shoes, a swimsuit and sun protection. Croatia uses the euro; lunches are not included: allow around €12–15 per pupil per day, as prices are higher in Dubrovnik.
