The sharks of Nausicaá, sand yachting on a huge beach, Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez and the walled old town of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
An energising final-year trip with a real change of scene, just a few hours from Belgium: pupils stay in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France’s leading fishing port, dive into the marine worlds of Nausicaá, speed across the sand in sand yachts with qualified instructors and walk out to sea on Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez. Fresh air, thrills and discovery of the sea, with no long hours on the road. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote; the journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions, strict compliance with the sand yachting instructors’ instructions, care near the cliff edges and no swimming without supervision).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to June and September–October; sand yachting is possible all year round, but the session time depends on the tides and may be moved if the wind is too weak or too strong. Bring a windbreaker, a change of clothes and closed shoes for sand yachting. France uses the euro and the same electrical sockets as Belgium. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around €10–15 per pupil per day; on request, the hotel can provide packed lunches.
