Six nights in Nice: the Rock of Monaco, the hilltop village of Èze, the Croisette, Sainte-Marguerite island, old Antibes and Cap Ferrat.

This trip shows pupils the Mediterranean at its best. Staying in Nice, they stroll through Old Nice and along the Promenade des Anglais, watch the changing of the guard in front of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco, discover the hilltop village of Èze, climb the steps of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes and sail to Sainte-Marguerite Island and the prison of the Man in the Iron Mask. Antibes, Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the Cap Ferrat coastal path round off the stay. An overnight stop in the Lyon area on the way out and on the way back avoids any night driving. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure; there are no checks when entering Monaco, which uses the euro.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. An overnight stop in the Lyon area on the way out and on the way back avoids any night driving, and two drivers take turns at the wheel.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, swimming only on lifeguarded beaches; in Monaco, walking around town bare-chested or in swimwear is forbidden).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: April to June or September–October, avoiding the dates of the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix in May; the boats to the Lérins Islands and the Oceanographic Museum should be booked in advance. Nice’s beaches are pebbly: bring water shoes. Lunch budget: around €12–15 per pupil per day, with socca and pan bagnat remaining cheap.
