The Viking ships of Roskilde, the canals and Nyhavn in Copenhagen, then Malmö via the Øresund Bridge: Scandinavia between Vikings and design.
This trip takes pupils to the heart of Scandinavia. In Roskilde, they discover the five Viking ships raised from the fjord and displayed in a waterside museum; in Copenhagen, they sail along the canals, greet the Little Mermaid and experience the Danish way of life; a whole day takes them into Sweden across the spectacular Øresund Bridge to Malmö, its old town and the Turning Torso tower. As the distance exceeds 900 km, an overnight stop is planned in the Hamburg area on the way out and on the way back, with a ferry crossing of the Baltic. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure; identity checks often take place on the Øresund Bridge, so each pupil keeps their identity card on them.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. As the journey exceeds 900 km, an overnight stop is planned in the Hamburg area on the outward and return journeys: no night driving.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, Christiania excluded from the programme and off-limits during free time, care around the very many bikes).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to September, when the days are long and Tivoli is open. Denmark uses the Danish krone (DKK) and Sweden the Swedish krona (SEK), but bank cards are accepted everywhere and cashless payment is the norm; both countries are expensive: for the lunches, allow a budget of around €15–20 per pupil per day, or hotel packed lunches on request. A windproof jacket is useful in every season.
