Chambord’s double-helix staircase, Chenonceau’s gallery over the river Cher and Leonardo da Vinci’s last home: the French Renaissance in four days.
The Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, brings the French Renaissance to life better than any textbook: pupils climb Chambord’s double-helix staircase, cross the Cher in the great gallery of Chenonceau and discover, at Clos Lucé in Amboise, the machines imagined by Leonardo da Vinci, who spent his last years there. An ideal trip for history, French and the arts. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site to link the châteaux.
