Four capitals in one trip: Prague’s lanes, imperial Vienna and Schönbrunn, Bratislava Castle and Budapest’s thermal baths.

This grand tour of Central Europe links four capitals brought together by the Danube and the history of the Habsburgs. In Prague, pupils cross Charles Bridge and climb up to the castle; in Vienna, they discover the Hofburg and Schönbrunn; in Bratislava, they stop on the banks of the Danube; in Budapest, they spend three nights between Buda and Pest, from the Parliament to the Széchenyi Baths. An overnight stop in the Nuremberg area on the way out and back avoids any night driving. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure; an identity card is enough in all the countries crossed, which are members of the European Union and the Schengen area.

  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, swimsuit and flip-flops for the thermal baths, watchfulness for pickpockets on public transport and on Charles Bridge).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: April to June or September–October; Schönbrunn Palace and the Hungarian Parliament must be booked several weeks in advance. Three currencies are used: the Czech koruna (CZK) in Prague, the euro in Austria and Slovakia, and the forint (HUF) in Hungary; bank cards are accepted almost everywhere. Lunches are not included: allow around €10–15 per pupil per day.
