Brighton’s Palace Pier, the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and London’s great sights: English seaside and the capital in four days.

This trip reveals two faces of England. Pupils begin in Brighton, a lively seaside resort with its Palace Pier, the narrow streets of the Lanes and the astonishing Royal Pavilion, walk along the top of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, then head to London for Westminster, Covent Garden and the Southbank. A varied programme of nature, culture and everyday English. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made during the day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know

  • A valid passport is compulsory for every pupil and member of staff (an identity card is not enough to enter the United Kingdom), along with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) applied for online before departure; signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Pupils of other nationalities should check their own entry requirements.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care when crossing the road, as traffic drives on the left in the UK: look right first).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: April to June or September–October, to make the most of the seaside; at the Seven Sisters, stay well back from the crumbling cliff edge and bring good shoes and a windproof jacket. Apply for passports and ETAs at least two months before departure. The United Kingdom uses the pound sterling (cards are accepted almost everywhere), sockets are type G (adapter needed) and the time is one hour behind Belgium; many major national museums are free. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around £10–15 per pupil per day; on request, the hotel can provide packed lunches.
