The Reichstag and traces of the Wall in Berlin, then Kraków, the Wieliczka salt mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau: a great history journey.
This trip links two cities that tell the story of 20th-century Europe. In Berlin, pupils go up into the Reichstag dome, follow the line of the Wall from Bernauer Straße to the East Side Gallery and discover a young, creative capital. After a stop in Wrocław, they reach Kraków, its Main Square and Wawel Hill, go down into the Wieliczka salt mine and spend a day of remembrance at Auschwitz-Birkenau, prepared with the teachers. An overnight stop in Dresden is planned on the way back. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made by day, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group on site.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Given the distance (about 1,200 km between Kraków and Belgium), two drivers take turns, the Berlin–Kraków leg takes up day 4 and an overnight stop in Dresden is planned on the way back: no night driving.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care around bikes and trams, appropriate dress and a dignified, quiet attitude at memorial sites).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school’s online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: April to June or September to October; guided tours of Auschwitz-Birkenau are booked several months in advance with the group’s list of names, as is the Reichstag dome. Germany uses the euro and Poland the złoty (PLN): bank cards are accepted almost everywhere. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of about €10 to €15 per pupil per day, or hotel packed lunches on request.
