Munich and the Deutsches Museum, fairy-tale Neuschwanstein, the peaks above Innsbruck and Lake Achensee: Bavaria and Tyrol.

This final-year trip crosses the Alps from Bavaria to the Tyrol. In Munich, pupils discover Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt and the Deutsches Museum. They then visit Neuschwanstein, King Ludwig II’s castle, before reaching Innsbruck over the Fern Pass. On site: the old town and its Golden Roof, the Nordkette cable car, the Bergisel ski jump, Swarovski Crystal Worlds and the Achensee, then the Partnach Gorge on the way back. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving, and the coach stays with the group.

  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. Given the distance (about 950 km), two drivers take turns and an overnight stop is planned on the way back: no night driving.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, no drug use, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time, care in the mountains and compliance with instructions on the trails and on the lifts).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: May to October; Mary’s Bridge may be closed in winter and Neuschwanstein tickets, with fixed entry times, must be booked well in advance. In the mountains the weather changes quickly: bring a warm jacket and walking shoes, even in summer. Germany and Austria use the euro and electrical sockets compatible with those in Belgium. Lunches are not included: allow around €12–15 per pupil per day.
