Canoeing under the Pont d’Arc, caving, the Chauvet 2 cave, the Gardon by canoe to the Pont du Gard and Orange’s Roman theatre.
This active final-year trip is for classes that love to get moving. Based for four nights near Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, pupils canoe down the Ardèche gorges for a whole day, under the arch of the Pont d’Arc and between towering cliffs, then try caving with an instructor and discover the Chauvet 2 cave and its prehistoric paintings. On the Gard and Provence side, they paddle down the Gardon to the Pont du Gard and finish at the Roman theatre of Orange. An overnight stop near Lyon breaks the journey on the way out and back. The departure date and time are set with your school in the quote. The journey is made in daytime, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours on the road, and the coach stays with the group on site.
