A day at the Préhistomuseum near Liège to live like prehistoric people: fire, flint, hunting and a museum.
The Préhistomuseum in Flémalle, near Liège, is a museum and a park of around thirty hectares devoted to prehistory, set around the Ramioul cave. In the museum, pupils follow the story of humanity, from the first tools to the first farmers. In the park, they take part in hands-on workshops: lighting a fire, knapping flint or hunting with a spear-thrower. The reconstructions and the forest trail make this long period very tangible. This outing is ideal for history and general studies classes for pupils aged 8 to 12, and also suits the first years of secondary school.
