A day at Pairi Daiza, in Hainaut, to discover animals from five continents and learn about species conservation.
Pairi Daiza, in Brugelette in the province of Hainaut, is a zoological and botanical park set on the site of the former Cistercian abbey of Cambron. The park is divided into “worlds”, each evoking a region of the planet with its animals, plants and architecture. Pupils discover the giant pandas and elephants among many others, and understand the role of zoos in conserving endangered species. The visit is a great way to work on habitats, animal classification and world geography, while enjoying a full day outdoors. It suits all primary school pupils and the first years of secondary school.
