Five days in Prague to take your time: the Castle, Vyšehrad, the Petřín funicular, Strahov Monastery and a lunch cruise on the Vltava.
This stay is designed for groups who want to discover Prague at their own pace, with half a day of sightseeing and half a day of freedom almost every day. Alongside the great classics such as the Castle and Charles Bridge, you will see quieter places: Vyšehrad hill and its cemetery, where Dvořák and Smetana rest, Petřín park reached by funicular, and the superb library of Strahov Monastery. A lunch cruise on the Vltava lets you see the city from the water without walking. You stay four nights in the same hotel on half board, and two drivers share the long journeys. The programme can be tailored, with prices on quotation, for groups of 20 participants or more.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Prague
- Early-morning departure from the location of your choice, with two drivers on board for this long journey.
- Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Prague at the end of the day and check-in at the hotel for 4 nights.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: The Castle and Strahov Monastery
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Coach ride up to Strahov Monastery and visit of its Baroque library (on request).
- Guided tour of Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral (on request).
- Lunch in the Castle district (on request).
- Free afternoon or return to the hotel to rest.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: The Old Town and a Vltava cruise
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the Old Town and Old Town Square, with the Astronomical Clock (on request).
- Lunch cruise on the Vltava, below the Castle and Charles Bridge (on request).
- Free late afternoon in the Old Town or on Wenceslas Square.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Vyšehrad and Petřín
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- In the morning, discovery of Vyšehrad hill, the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul and the cemetery of Czech artists (the coach drops you as close as possible).
- Guided tour of Vyšehrad (on request).
- Funicular ride up Petřín hill, with flower gardens and views over the city.
- Farewell dinner with Czech music in a traditional restaurant (on request), or dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning departure from Prague.
- Return journey with two drivers on board and regular breaks, arriving back in your area in the evening.
