Four days in Bohemia’s famous spa towns: the colonnades and springs of Karlovy Vary, the park of Mariánské Lázně and Loket Castle.
Karlovy Vary, once known as Carlsbad, is the most famous spa town in Bohemia: its colonnades, Belle Époque façades and hot springs drew crowned heads and artists for centuries. You stroll at leisure along the Teplá river, a porcelain cup in hand to taste the spring water. The stay also takes you to Mariánské Lázně, formerly Marienbad, and to Loket, a small medieval town in a loop of the Ohře river. It is a peaceful trip with little walking, three nights in the same hotel and two drivers on the long journeys. The programme can be tailored, with prices on quotation, for groups of 20 participants or more.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Karlovy Vary
- Early-morning departure from the location of your choice, with two drivers on board for this long journey.
- Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Karlovy Vary at the end of the day and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Karlovy Vary, the spa town
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Karlovy Vary: the Mill Colonnade, the Hot Spring Colonnade, the geyser and the Belle Époque houses (on request).
- Tasting of the spring water from a traditional cup, and of the local spa wafers (oplatky).
- Lunch in a restaurant in town (on request).
- Funicular ride up towards the Diana tower and view over the valley (subject to opening), or free time.
- Visit of the Jan Becher Museum, home of Becherovka liqueur, with tasting (on request).
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Mariánské Lázně and Loket
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Mariánské Lázně: stroll through the large park and under the colonnade, with its singing fountain (in season).
- Lunch in Mariánské Lázně (on request).
- In the afternoon, stop in Loket, a small medieval town overlooked by its castle.
- Visit of Loket Castle (on request).
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning departure from Karlovy Vary.
- Return journey with two drivers on board and regular breaks, arriving back in your area in the evening.

- Departure and return times adapted to your group’s pick-up point; currency: Czech koruna (CZK), bank cards widely accepted.
- Walking level: easy (flat walks along the colonnades); the singing fountain usually operates from May to October, to be checked.
