Four unhurried days in Prague: the Castle and St Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, the Old Town and its Astronomical Clock.
Prague is one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals, and this short break shows you the essentials without rushing. The Castle and St Vitus Cathedral overlook the city, Charles Bridge and its statues span the Vltava, and Old Town Square gathers Gothic churches and colourful façades around the famous Astronomical Clock. To spare your legs, the coach drops you at the top of Castle Hill and the visit is done walking downhill. Your group travels in a comfortable coach, with two drivers on the long journeys, and stays three nights in the same hotel on half board. The programme can be tailored, with prices on quotation, for groups of 20 participants or more.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Prague
- Early-morning departure from the location of your choice, with two drivers on board for this long journey.
- Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Prague at the end of the day and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Prague Castle and the Lesser Town
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Coach ride up to the Castle district, avoiding the climb on foot.
- Guided tour of Prague Castle: St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and Golden Lane (on request).
- Gentle walk down to the Lesser Town (Malá Strana), the Baroque quarter below the Castle, and St Nicholas Church.
- Lunch in a restaurant in the Lesser Town (on request).
- Stroll across Charles Bridge with its statues, then free time in the Old Town.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: The Old Town and the Vltava
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the Old Town: Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the Jewish Quarter (on request).
- Free time for lunch and shopping (Bohemian crystal, puppets).
- Guided cruise on the Vltava, with views of the Castle and the bridges (on request).
- Dinner with Czech folk music in a traditional beer hall (on request), or dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning departure from Prague.
- Return journey with two drivers on board and regular breaks, arriving back in your area in the evening.
