Two days in Wolfsburg: hundreds of experiments at the phaeno science centre, then the world of the car at the Autostadt.

Wolfsburg’s phaeno, designed by the architect Zaha Hadid, is a science centre where pupils try out several hundred hands-on experiments on light, sound, electricity, mechanics and optical illusions. Right next door, the Autostadt, the Volkswagen Group’s theme park beside the factory, presents the history of the car, production techniques and the challenges of future mobility. Its two glass towers, where new cars are stored, impress all ages. This trip suits pupils from age 10 to secondary level, for science, physics and technology lessons.

Day 1: Journey to Wolfsburg and phaeno

  • Departure from your school at the agreed time.
  • Coach journey with a 30-minute break after at most 3 hours of driving.
  • Arrival in Wolfsburg in the early afternoon.
  • Admission and educational workshop at the phaeno science centre (on request).
  • Free experimenting in small groups supervised by the teachers.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 2: Autostadt and return

  • Breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Admission and guided tour of the Autostadt (on request).
  • Guided tour of the Volkswagen factory (on request).
  • Departure from Wolfsburg in the early afternoon.
  • Coach journey with a 30-minute break after at most 3 hours of driving.
  • Return to school in the evening.

  • Identity card (Kids-ID for under-12s), parental consent to travel abroad and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each pupil.
  • Times adapted to your school; pupils are supervised by their teachers.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
