A day at Movie Park Germany in the Ruhr: rides and sets inspired by films, TV series and cartoons.
Movie Park Germany, in Bottrop in the Ruhr, is a theme park devoted to films, TV series and cartoons. Pupils move from one film set to the next, between roller coasters, water rides and shows. Younger children have their own area with rides to suit them. It is a popular end-of-year outing that can also be a starting point for work on cinema, special effects or careers in film. The trip suits pupils from age 8 to the end of secondary school.
Programme
- Departure from your school at the agreed time.
- Coach journey with a 30-minute break after at most 3 hours of driving.
- Arrival at Movie Park Germany in mid-morning.
- Park tickets at the school group rate (on request).
- Free day in the park in small groups supervised by the teachers, with a set meeting point.
- Lunch in a park restaurant (on request).
- Departure from the park in the late afternoon.
- Coach journey with a 30-minute break after at most 3 hours of driving.
- Return to school in the evening.

Good to know
- Identity card (Kids-ID for under-12s), parental consent to travel abroad and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each pupil.
- Times adapted to your school; pupils are supervised by their teachers.
- The park is open seasonally, usually from spring to autumn: dates to be checked; some rides have a minimum height requirement.
- Bring a packed lunch (or a meal on request), a water bottle and spare clothes for the water rides.
