Three Christmas days along the Moselle: Remich and Schengen, the lights of Metz, then the Luxembourg market.

This three-day trip, with a single hotel for both nights, follows the Moselle at the heart of Europe. Your group first discovers the Luxembourg Moselle, the Remich promenade and the village of Schengen, where the free-movement agreement was signed, with an optional crémant tasting. The second day is devoted to Metz, its Saint-Étienne Cathedral with huge stained-glass windows and its Christmas markets spread across the centre. On the last morning, enjoy Luxembourg’s Winterlights before a gentle return. Journeys stay short every day and leave time to stroll.

Programme

Day 1: The Luxembourg Moselle

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival on the Luxembourg Moselle in late morning.
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the valley (on request).
  • Stroll along the Remich esplanade, on the banks of the Moselle.
  • Stop in Schengen, the village where the 1985 agreement was signed.
  • Visit of the European Museum Schengen (on request).
  • Tasting of Luxembourg crémant in a Moselle wine cellar (on request).
  • Check-in at a hotel in or near Luxembourg for 2 nights, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Metz and its Christmas markets

  • Breakfast, then drive to Metz (about one hour).
  • Guided tour of Saint-Étienne Cathedral and the historic centre (on request).
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
  • Free time at the Metz Christmas markets, spread over several squares in the city centre.
  • Return to the hotel in late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Luxembourg and return

  • Breakfast, then free morning at the Christmas markets on Place d’Armes and Place de la Constitution in Luxembourg.
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
  • Departure in early afternoon, with regular breaks.
  • Return to your region in the evening.

  • Walking level: easy to moderate; short walks, some slopes and cobblestones in Luxembourg.
  • Christmas markets run from late November to late December: dates to be checked each year; bring warm clothing.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
