Two Christmas days in Belgium for your group: Winter Wonders and the light show in Brussels, then Bruges and its canals.

This short break brings together two faces of Christmas in Belgium. In Brussels, Winter Wonders spreads its stalls from the Stock Exchange to Place Sainte-Catherine, while the UNESCO-listed Grand Place lights up with a sound and light show around its tall Christmas tree. The next day, Bruges offers a very different setting: stalls on the Markt at the foot of the Belfry, medieval lanes, canals and a Beguinage wrapped in winter calm. One night in a hotel lets you enjoy both cities by evening and by day, without rushing. Clubs, associations, committees or groups of friends from 20 participants: departure from the place of your choice and a programme tailored to your group.

Day 1: Brussels and Winter Wonders

  • Morning departure from the place of your choice.
  • Arrival in Brussels and discovery of the Grand Place, its Christmas tree and its nativity scene.
  • Guided walk through the Îlot Sacré, the Royal Galleries of Saint-Hubert and Manneken Pis (on request).
  • Group lunch in a traditional Brussels brasserie (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the Christmas market, from the Stock Exchange to Place Sainte-Catherine and the Fish Market.
  • Early evening: sound and light show on the Grand Place.
  • Drive to Bruges and hotel check-in.

Day 2: Bruges and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided walking tour of Bruges: the Burg, the Town Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Blood (on request).
  • Canal boat trip, weather permitting (on request).
  • Free time at the Christmas market on the Markt and Simon Stevinplein, then a stroll to the Beguinage and the Minnewater.
  • Return journey in the late afternoon.
  • Evening arrival back in your region.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for every participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
  • The Christmas markets run from late November to late December (sometimes into early January): dates to be checked each year; it gets very busy at weekends.
  • Bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes: both cities are explored on foot, often on cobblestones.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
