A 10-day stay in Cattolica for your group: 7 nights on the Adriatic, Gradara, San Marino, Rimini and Urbino.

At the southern end of the Romagna Riviera, Cattolica is a family resort with long sandy beaches on the border of the Marche. On the neighbouring hill, the fortress of Gradara recalls the love story of Paolo and Francesca told by Dante. Your group also goes up to San Marino, the small republic perched on Mount Titano, strolls through Rimini between the Arch of Augustus and the Bridge of Tiberius, and discovers Urbino, the Renaissance jewel where Raphael was born. The stay includes 7 nights on half board, with two free days to enjoy the sea. Associations, clubs, societies or groups of friends from 20 participants, departing from the place of your choice.

Programme

Day 1: Departure from Belgium

  • Departure in the late afternoon from the place of your choice.
  • Overnight journey to Italy with two drivers on board (double crew): no more than 3 hours of driving, then a 30-minute break.
  • Alternative with an overnight stop on the way, outbound and return (on request).

Day 2: Arrival in Cattolica

  • Arrival in the late morning and check-in at a 3-star hotel near the beach for 7 nights, on a half-board basis.
  • Free afternoon to rest after the journey and discover the beach.
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Cattolica and Gradara

  • Free morning at the beach or on the Cattolica promenade.
  • In the afternoon, drive to Gradara (about 15 minutes), a medieval village encircled by walls.
  • Visit to the fortress of Gradara, linked to the legend of Paolo and Francesca told by Dante (on request).
  • Return to Cattolica in the late afternoon.

Day 4: San Marino

  • Drive to San Marino (about 45 minutes).
  • Up to the town perched on Mount Titano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with views of its three towers.
  • Visit to the Palazzo Pubblico, seat of the republic’s government (on request).
  • Free time in the shopping streets, then return to Cattolica.

Day 5: Free day in Cattolica

  • Free day for the beach, the seafront promenade or the old town, at your own pace (drivers’ rest day, no coach).

Day 6: Rimini

  • Drive to Rimini (about 30 minutes).
  • Discovery of the historic centre: the Arch of Augustus, the Bridge of Tiberius and Piazza Cavour.
  • Guided tour of Rimini, Federico Fellini’s home town (on request).
  • Free time and return to Cattolica.

Day 7: Urbino

  • Drive to Urbino through the hills of the Marche (about 1 hour).
  • Discovery of the UNESCO-listed Renaissance town where Raphael was born.
  • Visit to the Ducal Palace and the National Gallery of the Marche (on request).
  • Free time, then return to Cattolica.

Day 8: Pesaro

  • Morning in Pesaro (about 20 minutes), birthplace of Gioachino Rossini: Piazza del Popolo and the seafront.
  • Free afternoon in Cattolica.

Day 9: Journey home

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
  • Departure in the late morning and overnight journey with a double crew, with a break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving.

Day 10: Back in Belgium

  • Arrival in your home area in the morning.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point; bring a small pillow and comfortable clothes for the overnight journey.
  • A valid identity card and a European Health Insurance Card for each participant.
  • San Marino is an independent state that uses the euro; an identity card is enough to enter.
  • Swimwear, towel, sun cream and walking shoes; stays possible from May to September, currency: euro.

Cancellation and refund protection
