A 9-day beach holiday in Sanremo for your group, with 6 nights on the Ligurian Riviera, Genoa, Dolceacqua, Bordighera and Monaco as an option.

On the Riviera dei Fiori, a few kilometres from the French border, Sanremo is famous for its casino, its song festival and its palm-lined promenades. Your group enjoys the beach and the mild Ligurian climate, on a half-board or full-board basis in a hotel near the sea; a stay in Alassio, on the Riviera delle Palme, is also possible. The excursions lead to the historic centre of Genoa and its palaces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the medieval village of Dolceacqua and, on request, to Monaco. An overnight stop in the Lyon area, on the way there and back, makes the journey more comfortable.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to the Lyon area

  • Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive through Luxembourg, Lorraine and Burgundy, with regular stops.
  • Overnight stop at a hotel in the Lyon area, dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 : Arrival on the Riviera dei Fiori

  • Breakfast and drive through the Rhône valley, Provence and the French Riviera, with regular stops.
  • Arrival in Sanremo in the late afternoon.
  • Check-in for 6 nights at a 3-star hotel near the beach, half board (full board on request).
  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 : Sanremo

  • Walk along the palm-lined Corso Imperatrice, past the Casino and the Russian Orthodox church.
  • Climb up into La Pigna, the medieval old town with its stepped lanes.
  • Free afternoon on the beach.

Day 4 : Genoa

  • Drive along the coast to Genoa.
  • Discovery of the Porto Antico and the historic centre, from San Lorenzo Cathedral to Via Garibaldi and its Palazzi dei Rolli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Guided walking tour of the historic centre of Genoa (on request).
  • Visit to the Genoa Aquarium (on request).
  • Return to Sanremo at the end of the day.

Day 5 : Free day in Sanremo

  • Free day on the beach and on the promenade (rest day for the driver).
  • Free time at the covered market and in the shopping streets.

Day 6 : Dolceacqua and Bordighera

  • Drive up the Nervia valley to Dolceacqua.
  • Walk to the medieval bridge painted by Claude Monet and to the Doria castle.
  • Tasting of Rossese di Dolceacqua wine (on request).
  • In the afternoon, a stroll in Bordighera, the town of palm trees, then return to Sanremo.

Day 7 : Monaco or a day on the beach

  • Excursion to Monaco: the Rock, the Prince's Palace, the cathedral and Monte Carlo (on request).
  • Visit to the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (on request).
  • For groups who prefer to stay put, a free day in Sanremo.
  • Farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 : Journey to the Lyon area

  • Breakfast and departure from Sanremo.
  • Drive through the French Riviera and the Rhône valley, with regular stops.
  • Overnight stop at a hotel in the Lyon area, dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 : Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Return journey through Burgundy and Lorraine, with regular stops.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times adapted to your group's pick-up point; two days of travel on the way there and back.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
