Bibione for groups: Aquileia, Venice and Palmanova (10 days)

Day 1: Departure from Belgium

• Departure in the late afternoon from the place of your choice.
• Overnight journey to Italy with two drivers on board (double crew): no more than 3 hours of driving, then a 30-minute break.
• Alternative with an overnight stop on the way, outbound and return (on request).

Day 2: Arrival in Bibione

• Arrival in the late morning and check-in at a 3-star hotel near the beach for 7 nights, on a half-board basis.
• Free afternoon to rest after the journey and discover the beach.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Bibione, beach and spa

• Free morning on the long fine sandy beach.
• Afternoon at the Bibione thermal baths (on request).
• Walk to the Bibione lighthouse at the mouth of the Tagliamento.

Day 4: Venice

• Drive to Venice (about 1 hour 30 minutes) to the coach terminal.
• Walk via the Rialto Bridge to St Mark’s Square.
• Guided tour of St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace (on request).
• Gondola ride (on request).
• Free time in the lanes and return to Bibione in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Free day in Bibione

• Free day for the beach, the seafront promenade or the old town, at your own pace (drivers’ rest day, no coach).

Day 6: Aquileia and Grado

• Drive to Aquileia (about 1 hour).
• Free visit to the basilica and its huge early Christian mosaic floor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Roman site.
• Guided tour of the Roman excavations and the basilica crypts (on request).
• In the afternoon, Grado, a small fishing town on the lagoon, then return to Bibione.

Day 7: Palmanova and Udine

• Drive to Palmanova (about 50 minutes), a nine-pointed star-shaped Venetian fortress town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Free time on the large central square.
• In the afternoon, Udine: Piazza della Libertà, the Venetian loggia and the castle hill.
• Guided tour of Udine (on request).
• Return to Bibione in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Portogruaro

• Morning in Portogruaro (about 30 minutes), a small town of arcaded streets along the River Lemene and its old mills.
• Free afternoon on the beach in Bibione.

Day 9: Journey home

• Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• Departure in the late morning and overnight journey with a double crew, with a break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving.

Day 10: Back in Belgium

• Arrival in your home area in the morning.
